Is there a way, using Word 2013, to automatically number with leading zeros (for example 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 .....1.09, 1.10, 1.11.....)

See www.northstarcsi.com/GUIBytes/gui0205-specprocessor01.htm. Automatic numbering is in part 9. I'll send you a spec section that has that article numbering format. The article was written for a previous version of Word, but most of it still applies.

It connect with styles.
If you want I can send you a template .docx file with automatic CSI standard numbering.

The paragraph style names match MasterSpec.

I did a little reverse engineering of Sheldon's spec. Word must have recently added the 1.01 number style to multilevel list because I don't remember that feature. Thanks for everyone's help.
