I have a project where the architect is giving me BSD Speclink output files in an .rtf format. I need to convert these files to Word. Is there a batch file converter program that you have used with success? A Google search comes up with many online file converters, but I am a little leery about using them. Thanks. David G. Have you tried using Word to covert them? Word reads RTF just fine, so it seems like it would work.... |

Does the architect still have access to the speclink files/program. You can export files in speclink to a number of formats. RTF is the default but they can also be exported to: pdf, word, plain text, html |

You really don't need a mass conversion utility. Since you have to open each file anyway to edit them, just use the SaveAs command to save them. This brings up a Windows dialog box with the bottom input box "Save as Type". Use the pull down arrow to select the format you want, such as .Doc or .Docx. My suggestion is to do it in two steps. When you first open the .rtf, immediately do a SaveAs to a folder where you want to store the file as an original. Then edit it for your project and save it to your project file.
