"Not Responding" errors

These errors seem to happen on Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel). But that may just be that those are the programs I use all the time. Any advice would be appreciated. David G. (In Office Professional Plus 2010, it's "Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Microsoft Office 2010 Professional -> select "Change" -> select "Repair" -> click "Continue" -> go get a cup of your beverage-of-choice; the whole thing takes about five minutes.) I usually have five or six memory-hog Windows programs open and running constantly. Every few days, they get really crash-y and uncooperative. If rebooting doesn't work, Windows repair usually does.
