Is anyone else out there using satellite internet through Hughesnet? We recently began experiencing extremely slow uploads and we were wondering if anyone else has figured out how to get a decent response from Technical Support

I used them. I am out in the back woods of
Arkansas. I had slow uploads and alot of technical problems due to their service. I had to have internet for work and DSL was yet to come to my neighborhood. I had to call Hughesnet one day and I swear it went overseas to India. I am a techincal person, I have dealt with alot of computer issues over the years but they had to help me through this one. BY the end of the phone call once I finally found a phone number to call on their website, the guy had me in tears by the end of the phone call. They were horrible at getting someone to respond to questions. I hated them so much, and I do not say HATE lightly. I hope you get a better response out of them then I did. I finally got DSL out where I am now and I instantly switched to it once I knew about it. NEVER had another problem.

Stephen,
Try following forum. You might be able to "talk" with others to see if your issues are more widespread.
