I've always used BSD or E-Specs, so I need help understanding how to use the <Double click here to find, evaluate, and insert list of manufacturers and products>. It launches the specagent website, but how do you get the manufacturer's into the word document?

I think it should launch the Paragraph Builder popup box, if MasterWorks is properly installed. Manufacturers and products are in that popup box. MasterWorks might not be properly installed.

Brian, are you launching from the link embedded in the text or from the toolbar at the top of the page when you have MasterWorks open?

I was clicking the link. Did not have MasterWorks installed though. Trying to fix that now.

Brian: Oddly, the rollover on the manufacturer/product link says "Control plus click." The hyperlink text reads "Double click here." You must double click to reach the Paragraph Builder popup box that Liz is describing.

I'm jumping in here rather than create a new thread (as this was somewhat recent), but has anyone experienced issues with the Paragraph Builder not loading recently. I noticed it one morning (last week maybe?). When I opened MS Word a dialog box noted it was unable to load the MasterWorks Paragraph Builder. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MasterWorks, but to no avail.

I'm wondering if it's an issue on my end or something others have been experiencing and maybe it's something on Deltek/Avitru's or Microsoft's end.

Deltek instructed me on a fix which may work for you. Go to the MasterSpec download page and copy your site key. Then open the MasterWorks Settings window (far right on the ribbon) and select the Validation tab. Paste in your site key and click Validate. Notice should appear that your install is validated and all will (maybe) be well.

I've had issues in the past with MasterWorks sometimes "disappearing" from menus, Para. Bldg'r not working when double-clicking hyperlinks in sections, etc. I found it's much easier to just submit support ticket to Deltek rather than try to figure it out yourself.

If you work in a large office, your security settings may invalidate the popup boxes. Deltek has a fix for that that my IT guys install every time. AND.... if your operating system installs updates overnight, those updates may interfere with how it works, too. Just be aware that those links turn themselves off for what seem like no reason at all.
it is an easy fix for Deltek if you have permissions.
