When we moved office in 2013, the IT team that set up everyone's computers used "1/2 size (15x21) Oce Printer" as the default printer destination on every computer from the front reception desk on up. For month's you would see these giant plots of everything from take-out restaurant menus to dental insurance statements in the plotter room.

I have this problem with my large format printer for photographs vs my little Word docs printer. I've always thought, and still do, that the Windows operating system should allow for a default printer for each application.
