Currently our spec says to damp cure the ceramic tile after installation. Our tile rep says that it is rarely done and the contractor is complaining.

Any thoughts? Should I require it regardless of the whining?

We reference ANSI A108 and TCA installation methods as well as the tile manufacturer's recommendations.

Did he complain before or after he priced the job? If it was after, he should be required to do it. If it was before, an addendum should be issued to delete the requirement.
