I received an interesting map in my recent issue of Glass Magazine that lists locations and owners of float glass plants around the work. When looking at the map, I saw that Ford Motor is listed with "formerly Visteon" after it. But, when I do an internet search, Visteon comes up readily and I don't see anything on the website that tells me they've changed their name back to Ford Motor. Has anyone else heard anything about a name change back from Visteon to Ford Motor? Just wondering if I needed to update my master.

Thanks.

Ford bought back a number of Visteon plants that were making parts for autos, mainly to help Visteon out with union problems, work rules, etc. I don't know whether their flat glass plants were included in it or not. I saw that article also and wondered.

Tracy, I am the unregistered guest shown above. I had to reset my registration because of computer glitches.

Just an update in case anyone is interested. I finally heard back from my August 18 e-mail to Visteon asking whether they would be changing their name. I was told that Visteon is still their name currently ... but it will be changing in the future. He wasn't sure what the timing was yet.
