I need specifications which addresses Fire Rated Glass Doors and windows for 20 minutes and windows rated for 90 minutes. |

Make sure that the door that you're using is approved for use by the testing labortory (UL or WHI). My company, Metropolitan Door Industries, which manufactures hollow metal doors & frames (among other products), is approved for use with the Vetrotech St. Gabain fire & safety rated glass products. We are approved to follow the "glass specs" as opposed to follow the "door specs." Whomever you choose to specify (glass & door), just make sure they can be used together. You can always ask the manufacturer (of the door) for documentation (a letter) from the testing laboratory. We've done that many times upon request of the architect. |
