The Greater St. Louis Chapter of CSI is 50 years old this year.
We’ll be celebrating with an evening at the St. Louis Zoo on Wednesday, June 13. This family oriented event features on-your-own tours of the Zoo attractions, behind-the-scenes escorted tours, and of course, dinner, music and a program remembering the first 50 years.
If you are in our town that week and want to attend, we’d love to have you join us. If you can’t make it but have stories, anecdotes, photos or other memorabilia of our chapter that you’d like to share, feel free to post here or email me at geverding@cannondesign.com. It must have been a big year for new chapters...the Phoenix Chapter is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. |

The Puget Sound Chapter Foundation has generated a small pin addition that fits underneath the CSI pin in a true chevron shape. Our website is not up yet but if anyone would like to see one please e-mail me and I'll send you one. It says "50th Anniversary" on it.
They cost about 20 bucks plus shipping (which is 39 cents since they fit in an envelope and way a lot less than one ounce.) |

Dallas (02/57)
Philadelphia (02/57)
Phoenix (02/57)
Greater St. Louis (05/57)
Milwaukee (05/57)
Cincinnati (09/57)
So, reciprocal congratulations from us in the Gateway City to you all, too. It seems like the "baby boom" of the 50's also included a boom in CSI Chapters. |

Ok, Houston will celebrate their 50th in February'08, with hosting the South Central Region Conference, and going to the Houston Rodeo on leap year date Feb. 29th. Congrats to all the other chapters celebrating 50 years in '07-'08. We are chapter # 020. |

Milwaukee Chapter (#15) celebrated it's 50th anniversary on the actual anniversary date of May 11, 2007, last Friday. I purchased one of the 50th anniversary chevrons from the Puget Sound Chapter and wore it on Friday, receiving many favorable comments. It looks cool!
Our celebration was a hit, with most of our living past presidents in attendance. It's great to look at where you've been and look forward to where you're going!
Congratulations to all the chapters celebrating this exceptional milestone.
(Oh yeah, we're hosting the region conference in August, too - whew!) |
