CSI National is really pushing all the chapters to using this new accounting/banking program called "BillHighway". A few weeks ago, I participated in a Zoom training session a while back. The program looked pretty good and intuitive to use. It reminded me of QuickBooks Online. The Puget Sound Chapter has a paid part-time bookkeeper. This program may simplify her workload. It may also simplify our treasurer's workload. I have encouraged our chapter to look into it. Lastly, our old bank (Columbia BanK) has merged into another bank (Umpqua Bank). We do not like the way either bank did things. Their online banking is very confusing and cumbersome. I really hope that BillHighway works out because it could solve a lot of our chapter's banking issues. What have been your chapter's experiencw with BillHighway. David G. If I read the edict from the Mothership correctly - the chapters will be credited dues is through BillHighway only - soon. BillHighway is connected to Fifth Third Bank and the chapters can open accounts there if they don't want to shift money around too much. I am not the Treasurer so I may of not looked into this sufficently. |

Chapters have no choice. They must receive dues payments via Billhighway. Funds can be transferred to the chapter's preferred bank. This is a two step process requiring transfer request and then approval from a chapter officer who did not initiate the transfer. There is no explanation about why this is required other than this will make everything easier for chapters. |
