I heard the Institute's accounting system is having problems and chapters are having to beg for their portion of the members' dues. I also heard this is been going of for over nine months. Does anybody know the details?

It's not an accounting system, it's the CRM (customer relationship management) database used to managed CSI's membership. CSI transitioned from a very antiquated system to a new software system that will provide greater flexibility in serving members by allowing a variety of different membership models.

Needless to say, the transition did not go smoothly, and it is still in the process of getting all the bugs worked out. It did delay sending out dues checks to chapters and regions. In the interim, things are being handled semi-manually, which has slowed the process way down.

The staff and board has asked for patience, but if you have specific questions about your chapter's situation, please contact Joy Davis, CSI Communications/Community/Web Director, at jdavis@csinet.org.

This is not a permanent problem and it will be corrected.
