Where do you put information on salvaged materials? Summary of Work Section? Demolition Section? Individual work results Section?

We include a schedule of salvaged items to be returned to the Owner and items to be removed and reinstalled on the demolition plans. I refer to this schedule in Section 024119 Selective Structure Demolition. Section 024119 requires that salvage items to reinstalled in compliance with the requirements for new products.

What kind of information do you mean?

Salvaging materials has many meanings. Salvaging for reinstallation in same location; salvaging for reuse in a new location; salvaging for recycling; salvaging for stocking by Owner; salvaging for refurbishing.

I typically include in selective demo for remodelling. Drawings should keynote items to be salvaged for whatever reason (reisntall, relocate, refurbish and reinstall or relocate) including the from-to locations.

In a recent reroofing project, I specified in my Div 07 section, where practical, that the gypsum substratre board, polyiso insulation, and PVC membrane be salvaged for recycling and 5000 sf of PVC be turned over to the Owner.
