Anyone have experience with stainless steel pallet racks? We're designing for a QC Lab and I'm having little luck searching on the internet. Thanks for your help! |

I have a Pallet Rack Storage system specs, but not for stainless [yours for the asking if it might help]. You might try the Rack Manufacturers' Institute [RMI} through a search-- it is part of the Materials Handling Insitute[?] and has a good web site. |

I too have had difficulty finding stainless steel storage racks/shelving. We did a zoo project recently where for the pandas, we neededed adjustable stainless steel shelving for bamboo. No success finding a manufactured system, so we ended up designing a custom system of stainless steel shapes and bent plate. |

Have used a company called Inter Metro Industries for stainless steel storage shelving. Several others service the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the bio-chemcial, where stainless is the sole choice for many items. |

A Google search yielded this, where they say that stainless steel is "also available"... http://www.sirus-microtech.com/products/Shelving%20and%20racking.htm |

Thanks for the offer, Ralph! Thanks for the help everyone! We are utilizing Inter Metro on this project, too. I'll take this information back to the team. |

For future readers... I found the Rack Manufacturer's Institute a good place for research. We decided on Wireway/Husky Reliable Racks (www.wirewayhusky.com). Our need was for use in cold and warm rooms where wood is not acceptable. Thanks everyone! |
