Any recommendations on good sources for automatic parking ramp gates? We need a card reader, and probably a ticket dispenser.

Sheldon,

The one that I am the most familiar with and that has been around for years and can even do custom installations and coordinate so that you can have a single card that will work with the parking as well as the building security which might be a different card reader system is...

Amano Cincinnati

You will find pretty comprehensive information their site...

http://www.amano.com/

We are using them on a corporate headquarters here that has extensive building security requirements and parking control, and we have it all integrated.

Sheldon:

Like William, we have specified Amano Cincinnati, and also Parking Products Inc. (PPI). Look under 11150 here in 4specs for other manufacturers.

If owner has a contract with a company to operate the parking lot, that company may want a specific equipment vendor.

Thank you, gentlemen!

Although an official organization isn't really necessary for this sort of thing, it's one of the best benefits of being a CSI member. Without it, my list of trusted resources would be much, much smaller. And thanks to Colin we have an Internet home!
