Does anybody know where to find information on heavy duty pvc coated wire shelving? I am not referring to the cheap flimsy Closet Maid Home Depot stuff. Thanks.

We use a lot of industrial shelving for our schools. Mostly plain wire, but these manufacturers should provide coated wire shelving:

1. Dixie Shelving Company, Houston, TX; (713) 688-0151
2. Equipto, Dallas, TX; (800) 323-0801
3. Lyon Metal Products, Inc., Aurora, IL, (800) 323-0082
4. Montel, Inc., Melbourne, FL; (800) 361-9199
5. Penco Products, Inc., Oaks, PA; (800) 562-1000
6. Republic Storage Systems Co., Inc., Canton, OH; (800) 477-1255
7. Tennsco, Dickson, TN; (800) 251-8184

If a designer were to come to me with this sort of question, I would typically fire a couple back, such as:

What thickness of coating do you need to satisfy your requirement that it be "heavy duty?"

How much more robust do you need than the "cheap flimsy Closet Mmaid Home Deopt stuff?" Is it only the coating thickness or also the wire gage?
