I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Broward County)
on the 18th floor of a 25 year old condominium
building. I am in the process of renovating my
unit and would like to replace some of the
existing anodized aluminium window frames.
I contacted a local window company, but they
were not able to recommend a 'stock' window,
suggesting that the windows would have to be
custom made. How do I find a manufacture
that will custom make aluminum windows
according to Broward/Dade County
standards?

Thank you.

I had good service from a company that makes impact-resistant french doors, windows and other hurricane-sensitive products. Their units carry various Miami-Dade Product Approvals. They install their own units. Our pair of impact-glazed swing patio doors are a year old now and everything works fine. Call Smith Mountain Impact Systems at 305 278-2878. We dealt with Mirta, Rick and George. My office number: 305 869-1518
