I am working on a project with horizontal window blinds over large windows. Because the windows are 128" wide, the only blinds we've been able to find that width contain PVC as part of their composition; other blinds would have to be seamed, and that has not worked out well in the past. does anyone know if the PVC content of the blinds will affect the LEED points for this? |

Anne,
I assume you are looking for rolling blinds?
We have single horizontal mini-blinds that are at or near your width dimension in our Seattle office.

this is a common issue -- see Colin's post further up.
The architect selected 120" blinds but they need 128" blinds. (this qualifies as "at or near"). we decided the pvc won't matter. |

To my knowledge, LEED doesn't restrict PVC products in any way. |

LEED took at look at limiting/banning the use of PVC, but in the end determined that the alternatives were no better.
