We've been told that Environ Biocomposites is not fulfilling orders for their Microstrand Wheat. Can anyone recommend other suitable agriboard sources for wood and plastic laminate veneered panel products?

Someone told me about a recycled content particleboard by Flakeboard with the brand name of “Vesta”. I haven't done a lot of research on it yet, but I was told it is a formaldehyde free board.

From the website:

http://www.flakeboard.com/vestaMDF.asp

VESTA is a specialty MDF panel manufactured using a no added urea-formaldehyde resin system. This makes it the optimal choice for additional LEED points, and other no added urea-formaldehyde resin specified projects.

Along with our other panel products, VESTA is made with 100% recycled and/or recovered wood fiber, and is an EPP environmental certified product.

VESTA is available in fire-rated and a wide range of thicknesses and dimensions, and can be raw, TFM or WRM finished with your choice of design from the Flakeboard collection.

I have not been able to find another manufacturer of agrifiber board, so that is disappointing news about Environ Biocomposites.
I have heard a rumor that a rice-based agrifiber board was planned for production in California. Is that somebody's backyard science project, or is it for real?

This one isn't wheat based but SierraPine indicates that it is manufactured from recycled wood fiber (the spec sheet I have on my desk doesn't indicate percentages though).

SierraPine "Encore FR" is a Class 1 flame retardant particleboard, manufactured from recycled wood fiber and contains no added urea formaldehyde.

Thanks for the help. We haven't had success in finding a "rapidly renewable" panel product suitable for millwork. The several named above and several others are suitable for contributing toward recycled content and IEQ credits.
