Ladies and gents.... What factory finish system would you recommend for architectural wood casework that will result in a durable (and hopefully lasting) finish and still meet LEED VOC requirements? |

Any factory finish. LEED only requires field installed finishes to meet Low VOC requirements. That is because factory finishes are install in a controlled environment where the workers are protected from the harmful fumes. |

Factory finishing does not need to meet LEED requirements. Only field-applied, interior finishes. Emissions from factory finishing operations is regulated by the EPA and/or local air quality requirements. |

There is no LEED VOC requirement for factory finished materials and components. The LEED points for VOC content has to do with FIELD finishing only. |
