OK "green" experts, who knows where are we (CSI) on GreenFormat? I saw the presentation given at the convention, but here we are a couple of months later and was wondering where we are.

As an association (Brick Industry Association) we are very excited to start using the format for our manufacturers. There is a LOT of greenwashing going on out there and this would be one document that would help.

Brian,

We had a presentation by Roger Grant at our regional conference in August and I believe they are still beta testing. I believe CSI is looking for manufacturers to participate and if you are interested contact Roger at the contact below:

Greenformat is up, if sparse on mfrs... Pretty detailed info for the ones that are there though.

I think if everyone was forced to report to this level it would be an enormous help. The navigation is a little clunky though.

Talk about clunky navigaton! I was required to "drill down" through 6 screens to finally arrive at the description of acoustical wall panels. Only to find the following:

"Description: Cpmstricted pf a somg;e cpre pf 6-7 PCF dimensionally stable glass fiberboard. Edges are chemically hardened with a water based hardener. Edge profiles available are square, radius or bevel. Custom sizes up to 48" x 144". Mounting options include adhesive, impaling clip, mechanical z-clip, hook & loop or custom. Class "A" flame spread rating. Extensive selection of woven, nonwoven and vinyls for fabric finish are available."

CSI needs to improve this web site or there will be very few hits.
