Looking for a CSI MasterFormat Number for roof equipment screens. Currently have it as 07 46 21, but thinking it should be somewhere in Division 05 like 05 58 00 Formed Metal Fabrications.

Currently I have options for perforated panels, corrugate panels, louvers, some additional types, and the support members.

If the screen is basically a special type of louver, I will use a 08 91 xx number.

Friendly reminder: rooftop equipment screens may need to be integrated into the building's lightning protection system.

Please make sure that the support systems don't compromise the roofing system by causing condensation under the membrane when attaching to the structure.

Great way to void a warranty.

I usually specify it with all the other metal exterior panels; they are usually installed by the same folks, come from the same manufacturers and on our drawings are given a MP (metal panel) designator.

I agree w/ Anne's approach when metal panel systems are used.

More often than not, they are another type of manufactured system, and for these I'm generally aligned w/ Ron's suggestion. I use more specific numbers & titles depending on the product type:

089200 "Louvered Equipment Enclosures" for systems w/ extruded alum or formed-steel louvered panels.

108215 "Exterior Equipment Screens" for screen panel systems, which are often acoustical.

108216 "Rooftop Equipment Screens" for equipment-mounted systems like CityScapes Envisor.
