03 41 00 - Precast Structural Concrete would work. That can be further refined to : 03 41 13 - Precast Concrete Hollow Core Planks 03 41 41 16 - Precast Concrete Slabs There are further numbers suggested for precast pre- and post-tensioned concrete. |

^What he said, unless you mean something like the USG "Structural Panel Concrete Subfloor", in which case I'd use 06 12 13 Cementitious Reinforced Panels. |

USG indicates Section 061213 - Structural Panel Concrete Subfloor Floor Systems https://www.usg.com/content/usgcom/en/products/roofing-building-envelope/concrete-subfloor-panels/structural-panel-concrete-subfloor.html But it's not a wood (or plastic or composite) product so why Division 06? It's odd that a gypsum company has this product, but USG also has cementitious backer boards (Durock), so I guess it makes a little sense. David G. 1) Same reason gypsum and cementitious sheathing are in 06 16 xx. 2) Because, according to the MSDS, the product is about 50% gypsum. |

MasterFormat has Section 061213 "Cementitious Reinforced Panels" which is closer than anything in Division 03. Though the text in MasterFormat indicates that 061200 is for wood-based structural panels and seeing that it falls under 061000 "Rough Carpentry," I wouldn't necessarily put it there as it indicates wood products. I also don't think it fits in 067000 "Structural Composites" by the MasterFormat description either (which indicates composite plastics), but it probably fits better there than in 061200. Sounds like you get to make something up and recommend a revision to MasterFormat. 039000 is open... 039213 - Concrete Subfloor Panels?? |

This cementitious product is used effectively as a replacement for plywood sheathing and as a result it makes a certain amount of sense to place it in Division 06. Does the structural engineer understand where the product is being used. The reason I ask is that unlike plywood I doubt that this product may not be appropriate for moderate to high diaphragm forces. |

I specify these panels in 061600 "Sheathing" if that section is included. If there is no other sheathing in a project, I use a narrow scope section and agree that 061213 is appropriate. For me, the fact that Div 06 includes "composites," coupled with the utility of categorizing the panels as "sheathing" justifies their inclusion here. Using a section title that describes the product will help readers find it, too. I use a similar rationale when sheathing is limited to gyp panels: Section 061643 "Gypsum Sheathing" makes it easier to find in a Division that is thought of as including mostly wood products. I agree with using Division 06. It's a subflooring or sheathing panel depending on which application you're using it for. |
