Where do you specify low clearance bars? These are the bars at the entrance of parking garages to alert a drivers that their vehicles are too tall for the garage.

Thanks Ron and Ken. Unfortunately, MasterSpec has neither of those sections.

David,

Consider using Section 111200 - Parking Control Equipment, which MasterSpec does have.

The large firm I work for tends to bend MasterSpec Sections names and numbers to suit. We use:
11 12 13 - Parking Control Equipment for the electronic payment and access control equipment, which may be complex and often from a single vendor.
11 12 26 - Parking Control Accessories for items like your low clearance warning bar (headache bar), wheel stops and similar items.

If it is a steel bar hanging from a chain, put it in div 05. If it is pvc or glass fiber composite, put it in division 06. If there is a label adhered to it, put it with signage.

Call the MasterFormat police ... we've created a section in Div 10 and called it "Parking Garage Accessories." It includes things like clearance bars, wheel stops, etc. My opinion is that these items don't belong in Div 11.
