I only see wall padding in Gymnasium Equipment - 116623. What about if it is used in offices at a psychiatric school or similar?

It's fairly common for psychiatric facilities. I can't remember the manufacturer I used (previous employer), but here's two. Don't forget that you don't want ANYTHING that can have something looped around it and all surfaces must be padded.

Thanks Lynn, but I am actually looking for the Masterformat number. I guess I should have been clearer in my question

Robin, in keeping with MF conceptually I used to put it in 117300 - Patient Care Equipment. It seemd appropriate considering the placement of the gym padding. I suppose you could opt for 097700 - Special Wall Surfacing as well.

Seems like you've found one to send in to CSI for adding to the next MF. Good luck. I'll be curious to see what response you get.

Two of the suppliers mentioned earlier offer a specification using a MF95 number 11190 - Detention Equipment. That would map to current 11 19 00. Seems a user-defined number in 09 77 00 may be a possibility and perhaps a proposal to CSI.

Anyone know offhand who to send this to at CSI?

it is wall and floor padding for counsel rooms at a special needs school, so classifying it under "detention equipment" doesn't seem right! And it is floor padding as well, so not sure about including it with special wall surfaces. I will figure something out, but will send it to CSI for thought

Go to www.masterformat.com (as a CSI member you should have access) and make your recommendation to the MasterFormat Maintenance Task Team and they will review it at their next scheduled meeting.
