Since wood and plastic paneling have their own numbers in Division 06, it would seem logical to have a metal paneling number in Division 05. Maybe using an unassigned number such as 05 80 00 "Interior Metal Paneling." Or, you can stick with the Division 09 numbers, such as 09 77 00 "Special Wall Surfacing," or create your own Level 3 number, such as 09 77 29 "Metal Wall Paneling." |

Another possibility is that this could be considered part of the kitchen equipment vendor's work, and thus be part of that section. |

I have the same problem with a fire station. We have galvanized wainscot on the walls and I do not know where to specify it. |

How about 057500 - Decorative Formed Metal? Or, a new level 3 number such as 057519 - Sheet Metal Paneling? |

I am revisiting this issue. I have a school district that wants to use stainless steel wall panels in the janitors' closets. Does anyone have a specification that they can send me? Thanks. David G. Axt, CCS, CSI, SCIP Specifications Consultant/Web Publisher www.localproductreps.com |

I also created a Section 097725 "Stainless Steel Wall Paneling" for use when this doesn't get addressed in food service specs. Willing to share office master: Jeff at WilsonConsultingInc dot com Jeffrey Wilson CCS CSI SCIP Wilson Consulting Inc Ardmore PA |

I stick it into 10 26 00 - Wall Protection. (I know, not totally CSI). If I have doors also, I call that Wall and Door Protection. An Owner's FSE vendor may furnish S/S wall panels, but will seldom ever offer to install them - so the GC needs to know they have to do it. |
