You may get a visit by the Men in Black if you're not careful.

Is there a LEED point related to that?

This would be a difficult specification to enforce. Some astrogeologists now think water on earth was carried here by comets, and various meteors and interstellar dust have contributed minerals. It will take a special testing laboratory and chain of custody system to verify terrestrial origin.

I have founded a new program to publish standards and manage a Earth Made certification program. I call it, Make Earth Great Again (MEGA). For a limited time only, you can become a Founding Member and enjoy the privileges to which you are theretofore entitled for the into-this-world price of $1000 payable to me.

Come on fellow earthlings, sign up today.

One more thought...

If the materials used by Architectural Mailboxes were extracted in China, their slogan could be, "Made OF China on Earth."

Or maybe it simply means they are made on the ground, rather than up in the air.

I once ordered something from Neptune. The price was good but the shipping charges were astronomical and it to YEARS for the item to arrive!

To date I am not aware of adequate product representation and manufacturers’ field services for any products from other planets. That would have to change before I would specify them, and it is apparently a huge hurdle for such manufacturers at this point.

For now, we just have some mineral samples in exclusive locations for viewing. And you can sample a pan galactic gargle blaster via some kind of online recipe.

If the specification requires a product to be "made on earth," would you accept a substitution for a product made on a ship out at sea?

We have Mercury Marine here in Wisconsin, so we have both covered. From Mercury, but made in Wisconsin - theoretically on Earth.

I make effective use of Brown 25, "another fine product from Uranus."

I live in the Upper Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco.

Besides the frequent general spaciness, nearby are Mars, Saturn and Uranus Streets. It is hilly here, so there are also Saturn Steps and Vulcan Steps, which are staircase streets.
