The Architect has sent us a Directory of Consultants and asked that we give it a section number for placement in the Project Manual. I assume this would go in Division 0, under "Available Project Information", Document 000310. Again this is a private sector project. |

For those few, usually gov't projects, I've made it follow cover/title page and ID as 00 01 03 - Project Directory. It does not seem to me that 0031xx location is consistent with other CSI's MasterFormat description/titles. |

I agree with guest though i would put it after Certification and Seals pages but before the Table of Contents. |

I made a suggestion to the MasterFormat team a few months ago. Here is their response: Dear David Axt, Thank you for taking the time to submit MasterFormat revision proposal 2239, 00 00 03 Project Directory, submitted 4/14/2015. Having carefully reviewed the substance of your proposal, the MasterFormat Maintenance Task Team found its subject matter to be an appropriate addition to MasterFormat. The following number and title has been added in MasterFormat as a result of your proposal: 00 01 03 Project Directory This change is not yet reflected on the MasterFormat website. The website and printed manual will be updated to reflect this change in January 2016. Thank you for your assistance, and your interest in, and use of, MasterFormat. David the 000103 section number I came up with was based on common sense, I am glad to see its a real number now that it has been adopted by Technical Services. Technical Services must be the Fairy Godmother of CSI, I always knew she existed, making sure Masterformat is not violated, I for one will sleep better tonight. If only there was a fairy godmother for specifiers, my clients have beaten me up today, fighting back is not ethical in this case, besides I'd like to be paid someday. |

David, someday you will have to explain that quote to me, lack of sleep and 50 degree temps (freezing for us Floridians w/o heat) is interfering with my brain this morning. I guess that if its in the 50's here it must be a lot colder up north, you'all stay warm now. |

No offense, but sometimes I think people overthink MasterFormat. 00-0101 - Project Title Page. Includes project name and other general information. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has used this page to list the project team. |

I'm with Sheldon I think, we are probably over thinking this. I'll usually let the drawings name all the project participants. If for some reason I did want to list them in the specifications and duplicate that information, I'd follow the lead that MasterSpec has and list it all under the article "Project Information" in 01 1000 - Summary. |

Why should names of architect's sub-consultants be listed in bidding and construction documents at all when, presumably, all correspondence is to be filtered through the architect? Michael Chusid, RA FCSI CCS www.chusid.com www.buildingproduct.guru |

I think of the title page as a project sign; it acknowledges the contributions of the consultants. Everyone wants a little publicity! |
