Does anyone know a manufacturer that can make a custom shape toilet partition. The architect has designed partition doors with a Roman arch at the top. Think old tombstone shape. We need to use a specific custom plastic laminate. Thanks. David G. Axt, CCS, CSI, SCIP Specifications Consultant Axt Consulting LLC |

David, it's called carpentry...spec in your interior architectural woodwork section or sim. it is not toilet compartments anymore. PS oscilloscope working well, finished first amplifier - little to no noise great sound. |

David: The hardware used by many partition manufacturers is available out there for purchase to go along with the custom panels. Phil Kabza FCSI CCS AIA SpecGuy Specifications Consultants www.SpecGuy.com phil@specguy.com |

We are currently considering using the casework manufacturer to build the partitions. There are some fancy toilet partitions that are exactly what the architect wants, but they are only available "down under" (Australia and New Zealand) or in Europe. https://accuratepartitions.com/products/alpaco-kids-partitions/ https://cubispec.com.au/junior-toilet-partitions/ David G. Marc, I would beg to differ. They still are toilet partitions. Just because they are custom-fabricated does not mean that they are no longer toilet partitions. I get that Division 12 casework and Division 06 casework is the difference between manufactured and custom, but that is specifically spelled out in MasterFormat. There is no comparable distinction in MasterFormat between custom toilet partitions and manufactured toilet partitions. And just because the material is plastic should not require its location be in Division 06. It's the same reason we don't specify custom metal doors in Division 05. I should think any millwork shop would be able to do it well, unless these were all stainless steel. |
