Some manufacturer's note this on their data sheets, but i can't find a definition or image for what this means. Anyone? |

From VT Go to this document... http://www.vtindustries.com/webres/File/SupaDoors_2018.pdf At the bottom of page 6 you will see an illustration showing the keyed edge. At the bottom of page 7 you will see an illustration of just this piece. The page 6 illustration shows the installation. For the best quality of thendoor you would still want to cover the edge with veneer edge banding if it was a natural finish and not painted. Otherwise on a natural fished door you will still see the ends of the veneer which will be a different texture and color than the keyed edge. William C. Pegues, FCSI, CCS, SCIP |

Hmm, what were you googling. I have learned that being very literal and making it a question is best (but no punctuation). That’s how I found this. I just put in... What is a keyed hardwood edge in doors Just like that. That got me a VT data sheet that talked about it. Not good enough, but close. So I backed up to their main web site and looked at their lititure hoping a catalog would show it, which that one I referenced was the first one that looked likely. William C.
