The product, both framing and glass, is Chinese with testing done in China. I've been wary of Chinese construction products since the gypsum debacle of the late 2000s. This curtain wall system was substituted (without my knowledge) on a project I specified a few years ago, and now it is being proposed by the contractor to my client architect for a project that I will be specifying. I haven't heard any complaints on my earlier project, but it was a privatized student housing project. This current project is supposed to be high-end condominiums--a more litigious group of owners. I'm really hesitant in giving the architect my "okie dokie" without doing some further investigation, so any experiences with the product is appreciated. Brian Hubbs of RDH made the presentation. There were some fascinating (and scary) case studies presented. Your client may be well-advised to engage a curtainwall consultant.
