The answer is generally "yes" if it is a wood, clad wood, or vinyl system that has a sash and a frame however some of those systems and aluminum curtainwall and storefront don't use a separate sash (frame that hold the glass) and frame (structure that holds the sash). Storefront or curtainwall will have glazing gaskets and glazing systems that both hold the glass in place and also serve to manage water and air infiltration but those materials aren't what I would lump into the category of "weatherstripping" in the classic sense that one thinks of with operable windows and doors. What frame system are you using? As that manufacturer to show you details and answer the question specifically and accurately. |

OH IF ONLY IT WAS THAT SIMPLE. THE MANUFACTURER BEING USED IS SO OVERWHELED WITH ORDERS THEY REFUSE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS. |

No Dave the stupid question came from me, sometimes I ask stupid questions, actually the spec included weatherstripping because its based on Miami-Dade County Product Approval, I needed to answer a client and my brain was not functioning...my brain froze after a previous phone call from my daughter asking if she could get a tattoo and for some stupid reason I said its your body, your decision - OMG! |

as for the tattoo -- if she has to ask, she's too young to get one. Adults don't ask their parents permission for such things -- they just go ahead and do it. |

Anne, my daughter is 26, but has psych issues, according to her doctors her emotional age is much less, perhaps you are referring to normal adults. Many young adults who get tattoos are recovering drug addicts, the pain from the tat needles comforts them, addicts are not only addicted to the drugs but also the skin pricks from the needles, that's why recovering addicts shoot up water, its that feeling they crave. Scary stuff. |

Jerome, that is very true for many addictions such as smokers who need pacifiers of some sort. Many variations. Human nature. Sometimes it's not that intuitive. |

Ken, never been a smoker or a drinker. My addiction to writing, once fiction, now specs(yes contractors believe specs to be fiction)and pretzels (trying to quit for years, but its so hard) are my two current faults. All kidding aside, I must be a spec addict, why else would I write specs until 3am, nuts huh? There's no money to be made, and no glory, lot's of abuse. Not really a pretzel addict, though I do like the peanut butter stuffed pretzels, there is a co. called Good Health that makes a semi healthy peanut butter stuffed pretzel that actually tastes like peanut butter. My current fave. My other addiction is to the health of my daughter and myself, pretty lame addictions. No fun at all. So Ken, were you once a smoker? The pacifier fetish I've heard about, don't worry I won't tell anyone that you keep pacifiers around the office to deal with stress, it will be our secret! Wow there's a money making idea for CSI, they could sell pretzel flavored (or any other flavor) pacifiers to spec writers, they could label the pacifiers "spec addict", heh CSI could at first give them away at a convention (so they hook us) and than sell them on their website. profits would go to fund education of future spec writers. |
