I do not want to spend an excessive amount of time on this and it seems that it should be a fairly simple Web search - but I am not coming up with a definitive answer. Are the only two primary manufacturers of hollow metal frames with a thermal break - CECO and Curries - or are there some other manufacturers out there with this type of frame. Steelcraft seems to be indicated by some searches - but I can not find the actual product if it is available. We are looking to start specifying exterior door frames as thermally broken - but I ideally would like to have more manufacturers in the specs. Ideally would like to have 3 or 4 that could provide all the hollow metal door and frame products specified. Any help will be appreciated. thank you. |

I am surprised that Black Mountain Door (the old Amweld) and Steelcraft would not offer such products, but CECO and Curries are the only two that I am aware of. |

de la Fontaine has one. See Page 32: http://www.delafontaine.com/en/products/standard-frames/steel-frames/ Not much info in a quick search; you may need to call them. They have some great quality and some interesting products. Neat custom items too. |

Thank you for the quick responses. I did see the product offered by de la Fontaine in the link that was sent. I also contacted Steelcraft Doors and Frames which is now an Allegion company. They previously had thermal break frames, but discontinued them. They are working on bringing them back - but not yet available. |

If you would like to search the Buyer's Guide directory on the Door and Hardware Institute website, here is a great reference link. http://www.dhi.org/INDUSTRY/resources/iDB/BuyersGuide.php |
