Thanks. I should clarify - i would love to find a 3-part spec that is already written that i could use, if anyone has one they are willing to share.

Unfortunately, I do not have a specification, but I do have some reference standards:

ASTM C136
CPSC Document 325

The "technical" term I have is "Play Sand".

Should have added that extracting mulching language from MasterSpec "Plants" section and modifying accordingly with Quikcrete naming?

You might have better luck finding a complete playground equipment or surfacing spec (11 68 xx, 32 18 xx) and stripping out everything but the sand, if that's all you need.

If you have MasterSpec, 321816.13 is your section.

or, you can do as my Mom did, and fill the trunk of the car with beach sand and put it in the sandbox.
