Has anyone designed/specified finishes for a commercial humidor (in a Cigar Shop/Lounge). It is a walk-in facility with custom millwork shelving. Trying to figure out the best wood for the environment and any additional spec language. AWI suggests increasing acclimation to 10 days. Any additional input welcome. |

so let's make some guesses, isn't cedar the traditional humidor wood...give plenty of time to acclimate the wood before working with it and then place it in the humidor that is already running. much as we do for any woodwork. right? I've also seen mahogany. and then which kind of cedar? which kind of mahogany. |

Robin: The following website goes into detail about wood species for humidors, construction, etc: https://www.newair.com/blogs/learn/understanding-different-types-of-wood Never been a smoker myself, but as Phil Babinec notes, we're always learning something new and unique. |
