I am struggling creating a section for Owner furnished/Contractor installed product(s). Please share of you have such a section. For any OF/CI product. Thanks in advance. Wayne |

I think I am a little vague in what I am looking for. I have the administrative and procedural requirements for OFCI in Div 01. I am wanting to create a technical section for the installation portion of the equipment or component. Im my case, the Owner is furnishing grid-system-supported stone cladding to be installed by the Contractor. |

Wayne, I don't see that you'd need a special section. From your "normal" CFCI stone cladding section, keep whatever Part 1 requirements are needed; in Part 2, be specific about which components are to be owner-furnished and which to be contractor-furnished (eg stone cladding, grid components, anchors, fasteners, shims, etc); Part 3 should be no different from a "normal" CFCI section. I've used this approach without questions being raised. |

I do exactly what Dave describes. The specification should be no different than any other section for grid-supported stone cladding--the only difference is who is supplying some of the materials. Ron Geren, FCSI Lifetime Member, AIA, CCS, CCCA, CSC, SCIP

I believe 10 2800 has OFCI language you can reference. |

We either add the OFCI information as an article in 011000 SUMMARY or attach an owner document to that section. We include an individual section for each such OFCI work result, referring to the Owner's OFCI list for what is purchased by the Owner (carpet, for instance) and what the Contractor still has to purchase (fasteners, adhesives, etc). Our Parts 1 and 3 remain largely intact in order to pick up the submittal and coordination issues that would otherwise be flopping around on deck. |
