Has anyone created a general performance spec under this heading? Looking to do a decomposed granite spec and was hoping I didn't have to start from scratch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dan,

I do not have a spec but you can find a similar section on the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications in pdf format. Please go to:

I wrote guide specs for http://www.gailmaterials.com/. The documents are now 10 years old and are posted online in pdf format without showing notes to the specifier, and pertain to a regionally available proprietary product... Nevertheless, they may be useful to you.

Dan, if you're still looking, I have created a couple sections in this category for my landscape architect clients, which I am willing to share if you'll post your email address.

They're not "performance specs" -- they're written around a variety of products & specific applications -- but some of the language could be adapted for more general requirements.

Also refer to MasterSpecs' Div 32 planting section. Embedded in that master section is mineral mulch, except you'd need to add language for a stabilizing binding agent/additive.
