Good afternoon, 4specs correspondents. Should a medical pass-through be specified as a toilet room accessory (10 2800) or as a piece of medical equipment (11 7000)? |

It depends on how you use it. If it is to pass samples from a toilet room into a lab, then it is a TR Accessory. If you are using it to pass from a reception area or other type of room into a lab, then it it can be in HEALTHCARE equipment. In other circumstances, I can see it in Div. 08 as a special function door or window. Michael Chusid, RA FCSI CCS www.chusid.com www.buildingproduct.guru 818-219-4937 |

If a toilet accessory manufacturer is making it, I would leave it in division 10 to avoid confusion. |
