Anybody here have any experience with forming bronze sheets. We are looking to have a custom fluted spandrel panel made out of bronze sheets. The flutes would need to formed by bending and then be attached to the sheet. We have done similar in Aluminum, now they want to do it in Bronze. I am not sure that Bronze can be formed in break press. Feed back always appreciated |

I don't know of any sheet metal that cannot be put in a metal press. Extrusions and castings are another matter. If the flutes are formed, will they be brazed to the backer sheet? Get mockups as you may not like variations in the finishes between the flutes, backer sheet, and connections. |

The Copper Development Association, says bending and brake forming are not an option for Architectural Bronze. After seeing it there I came here wondering about real world experience. |
