Gaco Monolithic Roof

Anybody here had any experience with a Gaco Monolithic Roof with foam and a silicone top coat? David J. PUF roofs can be economical and useful in the right climate and with attention to maintenance. They were heavily used in Ohio during the 1980s when manufacturing plants moved their operations to southern states and they needed to protect their abandoned buildings with a low-cost system. As usual, no one looked after them when it came time to re-coat them, so they turned into large sponges. Result: they acquired an undeserved poor reputation. We also understand the foaming process should not be undertaken when there is high humidity, and it seems like that is what we have most of the time here. SO, the roof system has great return benefits when installed under the right conditions and maintained properly. If you have or can find clients who adhere to these common sense principles, do everything you can to keep them, for they are like gold. I have walked foamed roofs that looked like a moonscape but squished under foot. Hail, bird-pecking, kids throwing rocks, etc. can damage the roofs. Once the protective coating is breached, UV attacks the foam very quickly. My advice would be avoid foam roofs.
