I've agreed to prepare specs for a project overseas on US land, its a small project, approx. 5000 sf. This will be my first job with Dept of Justice agencies, I want to make sure I cover as many bases in my agreement with the Architect. Who is also new client. Has any of my peers had recent experience with these agencies? Thanks in advance for help...Happy Turkey to all.

The Department is actually called US Customs and Border Protection.

We have worked on airports within the USA that have extensive though seldom seen (if you are fortunate) US Customs and Border Protection footprints within the facility.

Ok Steven, can you explain what is P-100? Does US Customs and Border Protection have any other guidelines I should be aware of?

Jerome,

Somehow I escaped P100. The US Customs and Border Protection design guides we used very extensively and even listed in the Section 01 41 00 - Regulatory Requirements where:

U.S. Land Port of Entry Design Guide.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Airport Design Guidelines.
CBP Occupancies: Customs and Border Patrol Security and Procedure Handbook 1400-2B.
